Happy 4th of July

Today was a relaxing day. My DH took D'Angelo and I for lunch to Cracker Barrel. This is one of my favorite places to eat when we are on vacation. Lucky for me, we have one a couple of miles from home now so I don't have to wait for vacation time to eat there. After lunch we rushed to the hospital to visit my grandma. I wanted to be able to see her twice before visiting hours ended. She is still recovering from surgery but I'm happy just seeing her and holding her hand. She sleeps a lot because of all the pain medication they give her.

We had a barbecue at Vanessa and Richards house. The food was great and so was the company. We always have a good time when we get together. It's funny because Vanessa and I look like school girls sneeking into her scraproom to see her latest layouts while the men are talking politics, boats and cooking. I couldn't wait to show her the album I created last night while I was supposedly cleaning up my scraproom.

This is an American Crafts album I bought but it comes plain and you decorate it. I love the Amy Butler line from K&Company so I used two sheets of paper, ribbon, a this is me embellishment and a rub-on from her collection and what can I say but simply beautiful...
