Christmas Cards and Guacamole

Good Morning,
I've been busy finishing up some projects to head out the door to visit with my grandmother and then my mother. My family duty rounds... Even though my grandmother doesn't speak I enjoy visiting her and pampering her for a bit. She always loves to have make up on and smell pretty and knowing that I'm doing that for her always puts a smile on her face and for the stage of her life that she is currently in, a smile is good for me...

We'll back to where I was originally going with this post. Yesterday was a fun and productive day for me. My super talented Stampin Up demonstrator and friend Esther along with Barbara (an amazing hostess) had a Christmas Card workshop. We created 20 Christmas cards with five different designs. I'm altered two of the cards and made them ito birthday cards for my friends Ana and Alma that had just celebrated their birthday.

These were two beautiful gifts that were given to us for attending the workshop. One is a cardinal ornament, beautifully stamped and painted. Then they used some type of effect to make it look like it's wet. It's gorgeous and the other is a matchbox with chocolates. What a treat.

If your interested in the kit than you can send her an email to lozano17@bellsouth.net for more details. I learned great new techniques and actually completed all the cards... WhooHoo... I can check off one more thing from my mental list.

Later in the evening we went to celebrate LLerena's birthday at Rosa Mexicano. We arrived a bit early so we had a drink and this amazing appetizer that Vanessa is always bragging about when she takes her clients there. Well guess what? I'm bragging too because it's delicous... Can you guess what it is?

That's right... Guacamole dip... Delicious... I totally look like an umpa lompa in this photo. This is why I hate sitting in booths...

Well, I've got to run because this has taken me a lot longer that I had anticipated and it's almost lunch time. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hugz,

Ady

Wonderful job, Ady! That's quite an accomplishment-- a workshop with 20 cards AND you finished?! Bravo!

What a sweet thing to do for your grandmother! It must be hard to get older and not recognize yourself anymore underneath the aging face & weakened body. She is lucky to have you help her accentuate her timeless beauty as I'm sure you are fortunate to have her. Cherish her always-- me, none of my Godparents are alive anymore.

Have a great week & yummerz to that big dip!!!

How fun was that? Must have been a great day. I love your cards especially the one with the ornaments, very retro.
